 Renewable Energy Corporation (REC), a Norwegian company, will invest $1.2 billion in the city of Bécancour as part of efforts to develop its activities in the production of polysilicon, a semi-conductor used most notably in the solar energy sector. This is one of the largest industrial investment projects ever carried out in Québec by a foreign company. |
