Québec Biopharmaceuticals Make Strong Showing at BIO 2007

Québec is Canada’s leader in biopharmaceuticals, housing nearly half the country’s industry in this sector. Moreover, a significant amount of basic and clinical research is carried out in Québec. It is therefore easy to understand why some thirty companies and fifteen organizations from Québec took part in the most recent edition of the BIO International Convention, the world’s largest gathering of biotechnology exhibitors, held in Boston from May 6 through 9. The trade mission was led by the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade and Minister of Tourism, Raymond Bachand.
