The Government of Québec maintains relations with international governmental and non-governmental organizations working areas of direct interest to Québec.

It coordinates Québec’s participation at summits and important multilateral forums and sets out the positions Québec puts forward regarding conclusion or ratification of agreements and treaties.

Relations between Québec and international organizations are also promoted through an official Hospitality Policy drawn up by the Ministère des Relations internationales in 1988. This policy provides incentives to international organizations to set up shop in Québec and develop their operations here.
